All Products offered on this website are supplied for research use only. They are intended exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research conducted by qualified professionals, and are not intended, authorised, or approved for human or animal consumption, or for therapeutic, diagnostic, veterinary, cosmetic, or clinical use of any kind. No Product offered here is a drug, food, dietary supplement, cosmetic, or medical device. No statement on this website has been evaluated by the United States Food and Drug Administration, and nothing offered here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.
Definition
"Research Use Only" or "RUO" means that the Products are supplied exclusively for in-vitro laboratory research conducted by qualified professionals, and are not intended, authorised, or approved for human or animal consumption, or for therapeutic, diagnostic, veterinary, cosmetic, or clinical use of any kind.
What this means in practice
Products sold by Veltran Labs are laboratory reagents. They are intended to be handled by people trained to handle reagents, in a facility equipped for that purpose, as part of in-vitro research. They are not therapeutics, they are not supplements, they are not cosmetics, and they are not to be introduced into any human or animal body under any circumstances.
Who may purchase
Accounts are available to qualified purchasers aged 21 or over who are purchasing on behalf of a research institution, laboratory, or other qualified entity, and every account is reviewed before approval. Products are not sold to individuals for personal use. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or reverse any order at our sole discretion.
Every applicant is asked to identify their institution, their role, and the research protocol the material is intended for, and to accept a set of declarations recording those answers. Those declarations are stored with the account and with each order.
What we are not
Veltran Labs is not a pharmacy. It is not a 503A compounding pharmacy and not a 503B outsourcing facility, and it does not supply material for use in compounding human or animal drugs. It does not provide medical advice and does not prescribe, dispense, or compound medications, and it has no physician, pharmacist, or clinical relationship with any purchaser. No content on this website describes dosing, administration, reconstitution for administration, use levels, or any physiological or therapeutic effect. Purchasers are solely responsible for determining the suitability of any Product for their intended research application, for handling it safely, and for complying with all applicable federal, state, local, and institutional requirements.
Verification and cancellation
We verify the information provided at registration, and we may request further evidence of institutional affiliation before approving an account or releasing an order. We reserve the right to decline an application, cancel an order, suspend an account, or refuse to supply any purchaser, at our sole discretion and without stating a reason.
Providing false information in order to obtain Products is a breach of these terms and of the account agreement. It will result in immediate closure of the account and cancellation of any outstanding orders.
Purchaser responsibility
The purchaser assumes all risk arising from the receipt, storage, handling, use, and disposal of any Product. The purchaser is responsible for establishing the suitability of a Product for its intended research application, for maintaining appropriate laboratory controls and personal protective equipment, and for complying with all applicable federal, state, local, and institutional requirements, including those of any institutional review or biosafety committee having jurisdiction over the work.
Certificates of analysis
A certificate of analysis is issued for each lot by an independent analytical laboratory and is published against the lot number printed on the container. A certificate reports what a specific lot was measured to contain. It is not a representation that the Product is safe or suitable for any particular application, and it is not an authorisation to use the Product outside the restrictions set out above.
